SmartRelation started as an attempt to bring order to our own everyday life. It turned out we were not alone.
When we opened the first version, 1,500 Swedish families signed up in a short time. The response showed the need was bigger than we had thought, but also that the first technology would not be enough for what we wanted to promise about security and privacy.
Rather than move families’ data between systems we chose to delete all data from the test and start over. The new app is built from the ground up with GDPR as the starting point: our own servers within the EU, as few providers as possible and a privacy policy you can actually read.
Not from ads and not from your data. Today everything is free. Later on there will be optional plus features for those who want them, while a free version always remains. We want you to be able to recommend the app to the person you share children with without having to explain a catch.
We build around what parents actually stumble on. Next on the list: sign-in with Google, better support when the connection is poor and more ways to share with school and after-school care. Coming features we call coming, not done.
